Dear Sir,

After hearing the news The Chronicle and Echo is to become a weekly newspaper, I would like to wish you and your staff all the best for the future.

I have been a Chron reader for many, many years - long before I was an MEP for the county - and, as a supporter of the local press, it will take me some time to get used to reading your newspaper once a week, instead of every day.

Times do change though and I am positive your weekly edition will be as informative and as lively as ever.

I will continue to take part in debates and write letters on the EU and its impact on your readers in the future and will look forward to reading all the local news both in your new format and online.

Once again, the very best of luck for the future - keep up the good work.
